5 Movies You Might Find On Chris Brown’s Netflix Queue

March 12, 2009 by Porky

The media often blames video games for youth violence, in the case of alleged Rihanna puncher, Chris Brown, it may have been movies that planted the seed for domestic abuse.

Sleeping with the Enemy
Spousal Abuse: Julia Roberts’ character tries everything to get away from her psychotic husband, in this classic thriller, but even after faking her death and changing her identity, he still finds her.

What’s Love Got to Do With It
Spousal Abuse: Tina and Ike’s love-hate relationship and the abuse that came with it was put out front for everyone to see by this film. After claiming innocence for years, Ike later came out with an autobiography saying he’s slapped her. We’re glad she came out on top.

The Burning Bed
Spousal Abuse: When Farrah Fawcett’s character has had enough physical abuse from her violent husband and people around her, she takes some revenge and sets the bed on fire with him asleep in it. Actually, maybe Chris Brown missed this one.

American Beauty
Spousal Abuse: The crazy neighbor might have been in the military where order and discipline is key, but when it comes to his own family he uses his fist to lay down the law. Like the rest, he turns out to be a total whack job.

Blue Velvet
Spousal Abuse: A completely insane Dennis Hopper hits just about everyone he comes in contact with during this David Lynch classic, including his lover. Whether it was caused by all the nitrous oxide he’s huffing or general psychosis, not cool, dude.
