Lil Wayne going on ‘I Am Music Tour’

With the success of his triple platinum status “Tha Carter III”, Lil Wayne announced that he will be kicking off the “I Am Music Tour” on next month in Miami. The rapper will be joined by T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Gym Class Heroes, and Keri Hilson.

“I made the Carter III so that whatever song is on it, it will stick with you forever.” Lil Wayne said.

Jay-Z touring with Coldplay, Performing at Obama’s Inauguration?

Next september Jay-Z will be teaming up with the British rock band Coldplay on a mini-tour that will cover three cities in the UK. The tour will start out on September 12 at Manchester, then moves to Glasgow on the 16th, and finally finishing at London’s Wmebley Stadium on the 19th.

Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin guest appeared on Jay-Z’s “Beach Chair” from his 2006 album “Kingdom Come.”

In related news, rumors are surfacing that Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Leona Lewis will be performing at Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony. The inauguration is set for January 20 in Washington D.C. and during the event Obama will officially be declared President of the U.S.

Usher planning “Ladies-Only” concerts

Usher is planning to promote his record “Here I Stand” by having a “ladies only” tour. The r&b singer said: “There are only a few artists that can pull that off. I feel like I’ve had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt, was definitely the type that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?”

The 29 year old singer is planning to perform 15 of these “ladies-only” concerts on the “One Night Stand” tour and plan to make his own line of lingerie and men’s undergarments to go with the theme.

“The ladies like to see that masculine build,” he said. “They question if I still got it.”

Usher is currently working on a video for his single “Trading Places” and will perform at the NFL’s opening kickoff concert on Thursday.

America’s Best Dance Crew goes on 20 city US tour

“America’s Best Dance Crew” will be going on a 20-city cross-country tour beginning September 18 in Miami, Florida that will last a month.

Fans of the popular MTV dance show will be able to see their favorite crews live and in person. The tour will feature at least 5 crews from the show.

So far the champions of season 1 JabbaWockeeZ and the roller skate boys of the Midwest BreakSk8t have signed on to be on the tour. The rest of the crews will be announced at a later date.

Nas hits the road on The Jones Experience Tour

Nas will hit the roads this summer on a 21-date “The Jones Experience” North American tour.

The tour will begin July 22nd in Montreal and end on September 6th featuring acts from Talib Kweli, Jay Electronica and DJ Green Lantern.

Nas’ last album “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” sold 758,000 copies in the United States and his new album is in stores today.
