Timbaland takes Blackground Entertainment to Court

Record producer Timbaland is suing his record label for trying to sabotage his career. Blackground Entertainment allegedly contacted other labels and advised them not to hire him.

According to TMZ, the 38-year-old singer/producer - real name Timothy Zachery Mosley - filed a lawsuit against Blackground in Federal District Court, claiming after he transcended from artist to producer, the label started harming his career.

Blackground allegedly contacted various record labels and warned them that they shouldn’t hire Timbaland to produce songs. The company also owes him an undisclosed amount of money.

Timbaland to executive produce “Vinyl” movie

After numerous hit songs, rapper/producer Timbaland will try his luck in the movie business. Timbaland’s Mosley Media Group will team up with Duly Noted Inc. to produce “Vinyl”, a Drama and Musical/Performing Arts film about a rock and roll story that centers on the women behind a male band that is on the verge of breakout success.

The film will start shooting in the spring with director Richard Zelniker at the helm. Timbaland will be executive producing and his wife Monique will be a producer.

Timbaland’s Shock Value 2 will feature Beyonce, Rihanna, more

Timbaland has revealed that he’s working on his new album titled Shock Value 2. The producer/rapper said he has already finished a few tracks and wants to work with artists who were not included in his last album

Timbaland’s last album Shock Value was a huge success worldwide. “I went platinum in 16 different countries. Africa? Double platinum. Ireland? Double platinum. New Zealand? Triple platinum. London? Platinum. London is the hardest place to go platinum. France? Platinum. They don’t like nobody unless you French, but they like me.” Timbaland said.

So far Timbaland has told the press that he plans to include Madonna, Beyonce, Jordin Sparks, Rihanna, The Jonas Brothers, Jay-Z, T-Pain, and T.I. on his next LP.

Currently Shock Value 2 has no release date and Timbaland is producing Missy Elliott and Chris Cornell’s albums set to release in this Fall.
