Once upon a time music producer Scott Storch was once said to be worth $70 million, money he earned by producing records for Christina Aguilera, Brooke Hogan and Beyonce among others. But Storch’s penchant for high living has gotten him in trouble. For the last year or so he’s been struggling to hold on to his home on Miami’s Palm Island. TMZ reports that the battle is at an end. Storch defaulted on the property last July but then declared bankruptcy. Now the bankruptcy order has been dismissed and SunTrust bank, which held two mortgages worth a combined $7.75 million against the property, bought the property back at auction on Friday for $5.5 million. Storch has said that he lost money during a period of time when he was addicted to cocaine and he went into rehab earlier this year.

Scott Storch wanted and in debt

Scott Storch, once considered the hottest producer in the game, is now in wanted, in debts and missing from the spotlight. The 34 year old hit-maker owes more than half a million dollars in real estate taxes and has a warrant out for his arrest for not showing up in court over child support disputes.

Storch, a protege of Dr. Dre, helped produced hit songs such as “Still D.R.E.”, Chris Brown’s “Run It,” Terror Squad’s “Lean Back,” 50 Cent’s “Candy Shop,” and many more.

In 2003, Storch produced the single “Baby Boy” which ultimately helped the new and unknown artist Sean Paul reach platinum and mainstream status in the US.

The producer reportedly charged $100,000 per beat and had earned $70 million and the fame started getting in his head which led to the feud with Timbaland who called Storch “just the piano man”.

Storch worked with his then girlfriend-Paris Hilton and label artist Brooke Hogan but both album flopped.

“There was some mismanagement and some other errors. He got jammed,” Spiegelman, his lawyer in the child support cases, says. “I don’t think he’s going down, I just think he’s having difficulty. It’s a cash flow problem.”

Storch has produced tracks on recent albums by Mariah Carey and Fat Joe but still hasn’t produced a top 10 single in more than 3 years.
