50 Cent lands movie role in ‘Twelve’

The stars of “24″ and “Gossip Girl” will get rich or die tryin’.

Kiefer Sutherland and Chace Crawford have been named to co-star alongside rapper 50 Cent in the drug drama “Twelve,” according to Variety. Also set to appear are Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin and Ellen Barkin.

Joel Shumacher will direct; filming begins later in April for a 2010 release.

Common No Longer Playing Green Lantern?

In February of 2008, Chicago Hip Hop star Common confirmed his role in Warner Brother’s upcoming Green Lantern movie. Common was quoted saying.

“It’s a blessing really, to know that I could be this superhero. Justice League itself is an honor, and Green Lantern is an incredible character to play. It’s a blessing to be associated with it.”

Now the word on the street has Common out of the role as the super-hero for the upcoming Green Lantern movie which is slated for a Dec. 17, 2010 release.

Ludacris to release Album and 2 Movies in October

Ludacris is going to have a busy October promoting his new studio album “Theater of the Mind” due Oct. 21st and promoting the 2 films he’s in.

“Theater of the Mind” will feature hip hop heavyweights such as T-Pain, The Game, T.I., and Chris Brown and will take inspirations from Ludacris’ previous albums.

“There’s the funny Ludacris, the serious Ludacris and the story-telling Ludacris as well as the movie-making Ludacris” says Ludacris.

Ludacris will also be in the film “RocknRolla” due on Halloween and play a cop in the movie “Max Payne” due Oct. 17th.
