Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy is signing up with Hip-Hop Since 1978, the heavy-hitting management firm that handles both Kanye West and Lil Wayne, according to a press release. (His longtime manager Demetrius “Kinky B” Ellerbee will continue to work with the new team.) This is a big piece of inside-baseball news, a signal that Jeezy has entered the realm of rap royalty. 50 Cent Called Out By Kanye West During ‘Storytellers’ Show

Kanye West, arguably hip-hop’s current most visionary live performer, mixed boasting, poignancy and unparalleled artistry during his first “VH1 Storytellers” special, which is what we’ve come to expect from a ‘Ye show.
In one segment, West directly addressed 50 Cent’s recent comments. It was understood by the media and fans that 50 was dropping the other F-word on West in the underground song “Play This on the Radio.” Fif has since told MTV News that he wasn’t referring to Kanye on the song and he knows West isn’t a homosexual. However, in true 50 fashion, he did make fun of what is now known as the infamous Paris picture.
“I seen the picture. It was so crazy,” 50 said recently in Venezuela. “It was him and four or five other people. They had on some spandex, cheetah, leopard. That wasn’t gay; that was interesting. Read more
Wyclef, Kanye West, and N.E.R.D. to perform at the Democratic National Convention

According to reports, Wyclef Jean, Kanye West and N.E.R.D. are all scheduled to perform at the upcoming Democratic National Convention on August 25 in Denver in support of Obama.
Scarlett Johannson, Ben Affleck, Forrest Whitaker, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Ed Norton are some of the other celebrities that will be there to support the Democratic Presidential Nominiee over the four day event.
It will be interesting to see if Kanye will use the stage to attack Bush even more.
