Christina Milian dropped from Def Jam because of Rihanna

December 19, 2008 by Porky · 1 Comment

In the latest issue of Rap-Up magazine. Christina Milian said one of the reason she got dropped from Def Jam in 2006 was because of Rihanna.

Milian said, “It was a budget cut, I believe. [Def Jam] probably got rid of projects like mine to spend the money on [Rihanna]“.

Another reason might be her 2006 album, “So Amazin”, only sold 54,000 copies the first week.

Milian is set to release her new album “Dream In Color” in early 2009 via MySpace Records.

Rihanna broke? Only $20,000 left?

August 24, 2008 by Porky · 3 Comments

According to Rihanna’s ex-manager Patricia Williams, the R&B singer only has $20,000 left despite despite her album Good Girl Gone Bad selling 5 million copies and having numerous #1 hit singles.

According to rumors, Williams was fired because Rihanna accused her of stealing money.

Williams denied ever stealing money saying, “It’s not my fault that she only has $20,000 to her name… I have worked for many high profile actors, musicians and multi-million dollar corporations. Why would I steal from Rihanna?”

The business manager explained, “I showed her all the paperwork and tried to explain to her the circumstances but she wouldn’t listen. She called me all sorts of horrible names and stormed off.”

Williams also suggested that the blame should be on Rihanna’s manager Marc Jordan. Since Def Jam doesn’t fund Rihanna properly, “Marc uses the money Rihanna makes from third-party endorsements and from tours to fund her album and music videos.”
