Flo Rida Denies Pulling Chris Brown Collab Over Assault Claims
March 4, 2009 by Porky

Flo Rida has denied ditching a Chris Brown collaboration, due to the bad press the singer has received in the last month.
It was rumored the song ‘Sweat’ had been axed from Rida’s sophomore album ‘R.O.O.T.S.’ following claims that Brown had allegedly assaulted girlfriend Rihanna.
The rumors started when some websites quoted the ‘Right Round’ rapper as saying: “I recorded a great song with Chris. But I won’t be releasing it now because of what’s going on with him and Rihanna. It could have been my next No. 1.”
But now Flo Rida says that isn’t the case, and explains that the track was dropped for other reasons.
“I think someone must have got it twisted,” he tells Usmagazine.com about those initial comments. “The thing was, we have deadlines to meet and between his business and my business, things were - we had to turn an album, so I had to really get everything together.”
“There were other records that couldn’t make the album that I wanted to make the album as well, but that was the process,” Flo Rida added, “this was way before me ever hearing anything about [the alleged incident]. This was way before, at least a month. I had been done with this record.”
The ‘Low’ hitmaker also said he would work with Chris Brown again in the future, as he feels he is a “talented artist”.
