Australia lift ban on Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus, has been granted a visa to perform in Australia. The 38 year old rapper will begin touring in October. “A visa will be granted to enable a 17-day visit from October 21,” a department spokesman said.

Last year, Snoop was banned from entering the country because on character grounds.

However, protesters from the Australian Family Association wants no part of Snoop saying, “Snoop Dogg trades in toxic messages of menace, violence, misogyny and lawlessness.”

Snoop toured Australia in February last year and overstayed 2 days, 2 months later, when Snoop tried to return for the MTV Australia Awards, his visa was denied.
