- Jay-z didn't drop an album
- Nas dropped an album with boring beats, once again
- Common fell off
- Kanye was the only one who pulled auto-tune off the right way
- Beyonce once again dominated (which is good, but bad for hip-hop sales)
- Lil Wayne dissapointed with his album
- Soulja Boy destroyed what was left of his career.

Save for the last part, there was no bright side in hip-hop this year. R&B is doing great though, so that's a plus :sips:
