my ex told me a long time ago that i should look at myself. I was like wtf how the hell you do that? What it meant is to take a good look at your actions. Figure out why you do the things you do. Change if you need to.

You can take that two ways i mean with my ex she told me i need to figure myself out before i could be with someone. When she said that i thought she meant that i didn't really know what she meant but, what she meant was for me to take a step back from everything and look at the past and how things went and how i treated her and how i acted. That was probably the best advice i've ever gotten from a person. I mean you change yourself if you feel the need to (like i did) or you can see that she wasn't the one for you.
The other way you can look at it as that she is trying to make it seem like you were the cause of the break up and she was the one who needs to get her life straight.

i was with her for 3 years and that didn't end that good because family ppeople wrer not happy for us being together... people broke the relationship not us... it was a hard time for me and her... i coundn't understand why people would do that..... maybe you are right
