i agree, her mom wasnt as open minded. plus she was probably cool with it at first because she had a thought of them ending. i guess she never thought that could happen so she didnt worry about it much. some people are ok with interracial relations but not for the long run. ive been through this with a close friend, best thing they can do is let her go and once the girl starts looking more preg and the baby is born she will come around

Southern VA and Western VA is alot worse than the fairfax dc area
Yea Va Beach is racist for the most part, especially the further south you go in the city...alot of pepole dont know this about va beach. Like there is a line (i thinks its called the 38th parallel) in va beach that basically starts the countryside where rednecks live with Confederate Flags (the big ass sizes too) hanging in their front yard. As a matter of fact, i live above that line and a couple houses away from mine you got people repping the south with a Confed Flag thats as big as their driveway. Ill c if i can get a pic

I can also say tho that at the same time it is a very diverse city, and nonracists far outweigh the racists. Theres 3 military bases alone in the city, so there are alot more people that support unity.

I'm gonna be honest and tell you, even tho I live in Va, I've never been to Virginia Beach. When I moved here a year ago I took the southern route from California, and I noticed it was pretty rural.

All I can say is, its not going to be easy for the girl losing her mom. Regardless of what the mom does.....Its still her MOM. I had to let certain members of my immediate family go, and its really heart breaking. After my mom died, my own family decided they wanted to disown me too. To this day i say fuck em! I dont need their shit, and I've done just fine by myself. Ive made my own little family, and taught my kids that racism is wrong.

Its not the end of the world, and chances are Mom will come around. People say alot of hurtful things when they are angry. She could just be pissed because she got pregnant
