How can i put in my own ringtones for the XV 6700 from verizon?

u need 2 prop a nigga for this info...go to funformobile.com - download wave pad software - (or you can go to google and just type wave pad and it will bring the original website and u can dl from there) after you install the software, select your song(s) and highlight the part u wanna have as a ringtone right click and select the option to cut in nu window then u save as an mp3 file you can change the default settings that the mp3 file would have. depending on the music u listen to it may be good 4 u to have the settings higher. Ull notice that it would say that the higher d setting is the better the quality is. just play with it... any nu song that i like i got it asa ringtone FREE .......prop me

I appreciate the help (i proped you) but i think you may have misunderstood my question. see, verizon has this thing where you cant put an mp3 that you have on your phone as your ringtone. you have to buy it from them. now, does wavepad bypass that somehow? also, how can i install it on my phone unless its a .cab file?
