File Help?

heres the problem, when i extract files using Winace that are RAR there are no files in the folder, i have downloaded many files and when i open them they are empty, on the other hand when i dowload a ZIP file it works fine, anyone know whats wrong or the problem? if not can someone tell me another extraction program i can use

use Winrar, its not free but google and download from its website , i think its a 30 day limit
