For me sometimes I find it the exact opposite... Sometimes girl will not give me any high interest level signs. They will avoid eye contact, and avoid looking at me period. They'll act aloof around me and keep conversations short, or just look at me like I'm stupid when I ask them something. Then later I'll find out (usually through a mutaul friend) that the chick is crazy about me.

Like dude said earlier don't wait for them to give you a sign. Just go up to them and spark up a convo.
