I guess the biggest problem with interracial relationships (back then & in today's world) would be the parents, especially if they're old fashioned. Happened to my boy. His family's Jamaican & his ex's fam is from El Salvador. Her parents hated him, so the relationship didn't survive because she folded & listened to her parents who told her to break up with him because he's black. It's bullshit man, it just goes to show that racism is still around in some form. That situation with my boy reminded me of that old Sidney Poitier flick "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?", when Sidney Poitier dates this white girl & she brings him (a black man for those who dunno who Sidney Poitier is) to meet her parents for dinner at their house. The parents thought he was a white guy by the way the girl was describing his personality & stuff, but she didn't tell them he was black because she was afraid of what they'll say.

Other than that, I have no problem with interracial relationships. It's the norm in this day & age for relationships as with same race relationships, than how it was 40 or 50 years ago when that was considered "taboo".
