seriously what is the reasoning behind this ritual

i can understand if u and the girls ur gonna chill with are all single

but "girls night out" usually means

ur going to a club or a bar and flurting with random dudes
(even if your in a relationship)

i've seen plenty of relationships go sour because of "girls night out"

and i wanted to know why this sort of behavior is necessary

Ok dang it, I changed my mind, not about girls nite out being bad, but about it hurting ur relationship....I went out with my friends recently and believe me Im not the type to dance with anyone else other than my friends (which are mostly girls and the only guy that went was an old friend from high school so we all cool) and we were havin fun cause all of us dance together...well anyways, Im the shy type so I just goof around only with friends, so summary of this whole thing to not make it any longer is that this random dude just started dancing with me and I thot it was one of my friends, so I went with it, till I saw he wasn't anyone I knew, so I was bout to stop but my friends were takin pics n stuff so I said k he isn't being touchy and my friends were all with me so he can't try anything....but dang it dude started gettin freaky with my leg and I'm in shoooock and song stops and so does he and he just hugs me and leaves and I'm left like wtffffff so I was left in shock and my friends just protected me the whole nite after that. I never ever thot that wud happen TO ME, so that's why I thot it wudnt hurt a relationship, I never wanted to go out to find someone cause I have my man. I was just happy that my friend came to visit us so we all went out, that was da reason to celebrate. All wuda been fine if da dude wudn't have shown up or if I kept quiet about it but dang it I'm honest to a fault so I tell this to my man and now he's pissed at me, doesn't know what to say and I'm left feeling like I was the one who was at fault, when in reality da random dude was the one to bring on the problem. I didnt ask him for a cell number, I didnt GRIND nor kiss him, and yet I'm in trouble so yea I definitely say Girls nite out can hurt you....I'm really sorry for that Boo u know I didn't mean to hurt you
