Ludacris’ sixth studio album “Theater of the Mind” is probably the worst album he has ever put out. You can tell just by looking at the track listing. Almost every song (except for MVP) featured a guest appearance. Generally rappers do this for two reasons. One, Ludacris has ran out of stuff to say so he needed other rappers to help fill up the songs. Two, the album sucks and Luda is trying to put as many big names rappers as possible so he can move units. The thing that was most disappointing was the fact that he’s got the biggest names in the rap game on his album like T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z and Nas but can’t manage to make one hot song.
Luda’s last album “Release Therapy” sold 309,800 copies in the first week and 1.9 million overall in the United States. Personally, I don’t think he will be able to sell half of that in the first week considering he’s going up against Kanye and his single “What them girls Like” peaked at #33 on Billboard Hot 100 chart.

i dont agree with that review at all. if anything this is one of Ludacris’s best albums. the amount of energy he adds on each track and plus he had the best verses on every single guest appearance there, maybe even between him and lil wayne
If you go through each album hes done this is his most lyrical one, he went crazy with punchlines
and a good album is not judged by album sales, and if you wanna talk his WORST album i would say chicken-n-beer was his worst in my opinion as “Stand Up” was the only single moving those units
Plus the concept of theater of the mind is a movie, so obviosuly it would feature other artists besides Luda as a movie with just one actor would be stupid (though that film the strangers is questionable) thus the term “Co-Starring”
and if you check through them albums you’ll see he has had alot of guest appearances in the past from the first album. the most his ever had solo tracks on his albums about almost 40%
I suggest you study your stuff before you go dropping stupid reviews like that.

The guy who did the review at the very top should be fired if this is his job. Just because he has a lot of people on his cd co-staring with him does not mean that its horrible or that he is a horrible artist. If you look at the Carter 3 and Thr33 Ringz, most of the songs are done featuring other artists; so by you making that a fault is idiotic. In addition, if you actually listened to the songs and appreciated what music is, you would understand that this is one of Luda’s better albums. If i had to say, this album should have a better rating then it does now. I’m not sure what it should be, but in my opinion, it should be 9 something, not the rating you gave.

I always respected Luda as a rapper but never sat to listen to an entire album of his, but this one is good, best of 2008(yes better than LAX and Carter 3).
