Joe Budden is finally back with his highly anticipated album “Padded Room.”
Since 2003 Joe Budden has been on his internet mixtape grind, Releasing critically acclaimed mixtapes. Does “Padded Room” live up to the hype? the answer is no and yes. The first six tracks were almost unbearable to listen to. “The Future f/ The Game” was a weak attempt to gain publicity over two rappers ending their beef. “In My Sleep” is a failed attempt at a single, the beat and lyrics are just to simplistic for Joey. Then On the other hand the rest of the album was real easy on the ears and made you believe what Joey was saying. Tracks like “I couldn’t Help it” has a real mellow beat that makes you focus on every word joe says which was perfect for this song. Finally the track that shows you Joey’s creativity at work “Pray For Me” which is a song going back and forth with the voice of god, Joey Raps to god about how life his hard has been and why god wasn’t watching out for him. in Return God tells him that how he has always been there to help him succeed. In Conclusion Joe Budden is back with his sophomore album which is a great album the better songs make up for the lesser rating songs.

Joey is real spit the real deal got be put up there with the greats Nas, 2Pac, Jay-z Biggie, Big L, Jadakiss Joey belongs in that group.
Yo who wrote this review??!! “In My Sleep” is one of the best songs on the album. That you said the lyrics are simplistic tells me you weren’t really listening to the song or your mind automatically dumbed it down so you wouldn’t hurt yourself trying to sort through the complexity of the lyrics. Please do me a favor and listen to it again. Thanks. I do agree that the first five songs weren’t amazing but he has some killers on there: “Exxes”, “I Couldn’t Help It”, “Pray For Me”, “IN MY SLEEP”!…etc.. JERZEY ALL DAY!!!
