Snoop Dogg’s label to Release Dubb Union’s Debut Album

Koch Records and Doggy Style Records has announced that they will release the debut album from West Coast group Dubb Union. Snoop Dogg, who is the chief A&R Executive and C.E.O. of the label will release the album titled “”Snoop Dogg Presents Dubb Union” on September 2nd. The CD will feature guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Daz, Kurupt, Dion, BJ, Traci Nelson and Uncle Chucc.

The rap group consists of Damani from Inglewood, Bad Lucc from Watts, and Soopafly from Long Beach. “Dubb Union has accomplished what few can do — create an incredible album that you’re gonna want to bang from top to bottom. Damani, Bad Lucc, and Soopafly have crazy chemistry! And they represent that West Coast unity that I’ve been pushing hard. This is Los Angeles music at its finest — with fresh, new music for the streets, the clubs, and the ladies.” Snoop said.

The first single, “Westurn Union” features Doggpound member Daz Dillinger and BJ.

Fox News hates on Ludacris’ new track and paints Obama As Black Radical

White rights enthusiast Sean Hannity has a new black man in his sights, ludacris. Because Ludacris has written some over-the-top lyrics in support of Obama and because Obama has previously expressed a liking for Ludacris, that was proof enough for Hannity that it indicated that Obama is a black radical.

Missy Elliott appears on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew

Missy Elliott will be on Thursday’s episode of “America’s Best Dance Crew”. The show welcomes hip hop superstar Missy Elliott. The show is an American television show featuring street dance crews from the United States. The show is produced by American Idol judge Randy Jackson, and airs on MTV in the United States and MuchMusic in Canada.

The six-time Grammy Award winner and the four remaining crews will perform her newest dance routine to the song “Shake Your Pom Pom” from her album “Block Party”.

In this week’s dance challenge, the crews will also perform to popular Missy Elliott hits.

Jacob the Jeweler sues Wyclef

Relations have gone icy between Wyclef Jean and Jacob the Jeweler.

Wyclef was one of Jacob’s best customers and was the first rappers ever to name-check the jeweler on a record back in 2000.

Now, Jacob the Jeweler, real name Jacob Arabov, is suing Wyclef for more than $300,000 in unpaid jewelery after “repeated demands for payment” were ignored.

Between March 2002 and January 2006, Wyclef purchased more than $750,000 worth of Jewelery from Jacob’s company. According to court papers, Jacob says the rapper still owes him $319,680 of it.

Jacob the Jeweler is current serving two and a half years for lying to the cops investigating a money laundering operation.

Fergie thrilled to play a prostitute in upcoming musicial

Fergie, real name Stacy Ann Ferguson, will play as a prostitute in the upcoming film “Nine.” The singer will play the role of Saraghina in the musical and perform the song “Be Italian.”

“She’s basically a prostitute on the beach,” Fergie told the Associated Press in an interview. “She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It’s a very strong song. I’m just thrilled I get to play a character.”

Fergie will join a talented cast featuring Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Kate Hudson. The film will be directed by Rob Marshall from the movie Chicago.

Filming is expected to start in October and it is expected to be released sometime in 2009.

Fergie is also busy with the Black Eye Peas working on their next album. “It’s a new sound,” she said. “We’re going into the future. We’re not doing the same old thing. We’re not trying to copy what’s out there on the radio.”
