In the past 12 months, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has raked in $150 million dollars thanks to his VitaminWater deal ($100 million), popular G-Unit clothing line, record label, films, video games, and platinum albums.
For the second consecutive year, Sean “Diddy” Combs finished third on the list with $35 million from his clothing company Sean John, record label Bad Boy, premium vodka Ciroc and reality TV shows.
Last year, the top 3 money makers Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Diddy collaborated on the track “I Get Money” to celebrate their success, no word on if they will do the same this year.

Rapper Yung Joc Sued For Child Support

Yung Joc’s baby mama Fatimah Jester is looking to get paid. Jester claims the Grammy-nominated rapper whose real name is Jasiel Robinson owes her $2,000 in back child support. The rapper currently lives in Riverdale while Jester lives with their 7 year old son Amoni.
Jester said Yung Joc has missed numerous court-ordered payments which caused her to be late on her bills. Jester says the payments should be chump change because Yung Joc is a famous wealthy rapper with a luxury car rental business.
“Mr. Robinson has all kinds of cars, Bentleys, Mercedes Benz, Ranger Rovers, Two Range rovers,” said Jester. “The type of money he makes, $2,000 is nothing.”
A judge is set to hear the case in court on Sept. 11.

Rapper Jin makes Hong Kong debut

Rapper Jin, famous for beating rappers on BET’s “106th & Park” freestyle competition, was the first Asian-American hip hop artist to sign a major solo record deal 4 years ago.
Now the 26 year old rapper has released a Cantonese album in his parents’ hometown of Hong Kong. Universal Music Hong Kong re-released Jin’s album “ABC” (released in the U.S. in February 2007) with new a new song and a DVD containing 4 new music videos.
“Universal is not a small mom-and-pop store … And for them to say, ‘we believe in Jin, we believe in this album, we want to support it, throw money into it.’ That right there to me is almost like I haven’t won the war but that’s one battle won already,” Jin said.
Universal Music Hong Kong Assistant General Manager Ho Pak-kin said the rap album would be considered a success if it sold 8,000 to 10,000 copies.
